1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Club Compete’s coaching platform, booking system, and all associated services. By creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Club Compete (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a tennis coaching platform based in Southampton, England.
2. Adult Subscriptions
We offer a range of adult subscription tiers, each billed on a recurring basis. The available tiers, their prices, and billing frequencies are displayed on our Subscriptions page and at checkout.
- Each subscription tier grants access to group session booking and member pricing on additional sessions.
- Higher tiers provide a larger advance booking window, allowing you to book sessions further ahead.
- All adult subscriptions are subject to a minimum commitment period, which is shown clearly at checkout. After this period you may cancel at the end of your current billing cycle via the Member Portal. Billing continues automatically until you cancel.
- Payment methods are securely stored and processed by Stripe.
3. Junior Subscriptions
- Junior subscriptions are intended for children participating in Club Compete’s junior coaching programme. Pricing and billing frequency are shown at checkout.
- A child’s first and last name must be provided when purchasing a junior subscription and kept up to date in your account profile.
- Junior subscriptions are subject to a minimum commitment period shown at checkout. After this period they may be cancelled at the end of the current billing cycle.
- A parent or legal guardian is responsible for agreeing to these terms on behalf of their child and for ensuring the child’s participation is appropriate for their age, health, and ability.
- Multiple junior subscriptions may be held under one account, one per child.
4. Billing & Payment
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details on our servers.
- Subscription fees are charged automatically at the start of each billing period.
- Session fees are deducted from your wallet balance at the point of booking. If your wallet has insufficient funds, you will be prompted to top up before confirming a booking.
- All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes.
- We reserve the right to update pricing with reasonable notice. Your current billing rate will apply until the end of your minimum commitment period.
5. Session Booking
- Sessions may be booked through the Member Portal up to your subscription’s advance booking limit, which varies by tier.
- Bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis up to the session’s maximum capacity.
- You will receive a booking confirmation by email. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact details are current.
- Club Compete reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to weather, coach unavailability, or other circumstances beyond our control. Affected members will be notified and their session payment returned to their wallet.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before a session are eligible for a refund to your Club Compete wallet.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session start time are not eligible for a refund unless the session is cancelled by Club Compete.
- Wallet balances are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by law.
- To cancel a subscription, please use the Member Portal or contact us at info@clubcompete.co.uk. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, provided the minimum commitment has been fulfilled.
- We do not offer refunds on subscription fees for unused periods, except where required by law.
7. Your Wallet
- Your Club Compete wallet holds a credit balance used to pay for sessions and other services.
- Wallet funds are added when you top up via the Member Portal or when a refund is issued following a session cancellation.
- Wallet balances do not expire while your subscription remains active.
- If your subscription is cancelled, any remaining wallet balance will be retained for 90 days during which you may contact us to request a refund. After 90 days, unused balances are forfeited.
- We do not pay interest on wallet balances.
8. Member Responsibilities
- You are responsible for keeping your account details — including your name, email address, and payment information — accurate and up to date.
- You must not share your account credentials with others.
- You agree to behave in a respectful manner toward coaches, staff, and other members at all times. Club Compete reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where conduct is deemed inappropriate.
- You confirm that you are physically able to participate in the sessions you book. We strongly recommend consulting a medical professional before commencing any new exercise programme, particularly if you have any pre-existing health conditions. Please complete the PAR-Q Health Form honestly.
- Appropriate sportswear and footwear must be worn during all coaching sessions.
9. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by email and update the version number shown on this page.
- Continued use of the platform or your subscription after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
- The version of these terms most recently accepted by you governs your subscription until the next update.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
